Rental Protection Plan

Protect your rental against accidental damage, loss, or theft during your stay.

Equiply offers an optional Rental Protection Plan that reduces your financial liability in case of accidental damage or theft of rented equipment. This plan helps you avoid unexpected repair or replacement costs, ensuring a smooth, stress-free rental experience for your family or pet.

 

✅ What’s Covered

  • Accidental damage to the rented item (e.g., scratches, broken parts, minor wear) during normal and responsible use.

  • Theft, only if the item was secured properly and used according to Equiply’s rental terms.

  • Full loss coverage, up to the retail value of the item, subject to valid documentation and police report.

  • Weather-related damage, only if the item was not intentionally left outdoors overnight or in unsafe conditions (e.g., rain, heat).

 

❌ What’s Not Covered

  • Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or reckless handling (e.g., forcing folding parts, improper assembly, leaving items exposed to the elements).

  • Theft if the item was left unattended, unlocked, or in an open area.

  • Intentional damage, false theft claims, or fraudulent activity.

  • Loss of accessories (e.g., straps, adapters, small removable parts) not returned with the main item.

  • Personal injury, medical costs, or third-party liability.

This plan does not include travel insurance, medical insurance, or public liability coverage.

 

Important Information

  • The Rental Protection Plan is optional but highly recommended.

  • If declined, you are fully responsible for any damage or loss, up to the full replacement value of the item.

  • A police report is required for all theft cases. Claims without proper documentation will be denied.

  • This plan is non-refundable and remains valid for the rental period only.

  • The protection fee is calculated as a small percentage of your total rental cost, shown at checkout.
